The timber used to construct the panel is European Softwood and it has been Pressure Treated to provide protection against rot and fungal decay for up to fifteen years.
However, any exposed wood, preserved or not, should be protected from the elements and so the application of a semi-transparent stain or paint is recommended to maintain the quality of the panel.
