One of our finest large sheds, the 20x10 Ultimate Heavy-Duty Workshop - Double Door is handcrafted from the highest-quality European softwood. The spacious interior offers you plenty of storage room while the generous eaves allow you to work effectively wherever you are in the building and enhance your vertical storage options.
Equally impressive as a garden workshop, a secure space to store your heavy-duty machinery or a durable place for protecting your garden furniture and equipment from the weather, this workshop shed will prove a reliable and hardworking outdoor building for many years to come.
Our entire range of custom made Ultimate sheds and workshops is built from premium quality materials. This one is constructed from 12mm redwood shiplap tongue and groove panels, ensuring an exceptionally robust structure. The sturdy 12mm tongue and groove floor will comfortably support the weight of your heavier items and has been fitted with joists to provide the necessary elevation to avoid rot caused by ground moisture. For longer lasting protection against the elements, this shed features a 12mm tongue and groove roof with superior-graded, polyester-reinforced roof felt too. Robust 44x44mm framing and cross framing has been used inside the shed to ensure outstanding structural support.
Two opening windows provide plenty of natural light and ventilation, perfect for when you’re hard at work inside. These windows are glazed with toughened glass. To complete the workshop's superior finish and keep your stored items safe, the ledged and braced double doors are fitted with extra framing, an integral rim lock and heavy-duty galvanised hinges.
Market-leading, manufacturer-approved, same-day installation comes as standard. Please ensure a suitably-sized hard, flat base is ready in advance of the installers’ visit. You have the option to add Life Extending Floor Supports to your order. These are installed between the ground and the workshop shed's floor joists. They provide extra protection from damp by increasing the distance between the building and the ground, so allowing better air circulation. The result is enhanced stability and longevity for your shed.
This garden building is protected by Aquashield, supplied with a 3-year anti-rot guarantee and 1-year structural guarantee. You must retreat it annually with a high-quality wood preservative to keep the wood protected and validate the anti-rot guarantee.

Shed Republic Ultimate Heavy Duty Workshops
OUR FEATURES EXPLAINED
If you need a seriously heavy-duty garden building, you simply can’t go wrong with a Shed Republic Ultimate Shed or Workshop. Available in a huge range of designs and sizes, these workshop sheds are expertly built in Great Britain from the finest timber, with extra-thick framing throughout. They are carefully treated against rot and fungal decay too, so, with periodic retreatment, will remain an invaluable and much-admired fixture in your garden for many years to come. Other notable features are a premium 12mm tongue and groove floor and roof, robust door framing, a key-operated lock and toughened glass. Market-leading, manufacturer-approved, same-day installation is included as standard too, providing you with the Ultimate Shed buying experience.
ULTIMATE WORKSHOPS EXTRA EAVES HEIGHT
The extra eaves height on an Ultimate Workshop opens up a wide range of storage possibilities, giving you the opportunity to store taller items and maximise valuable floor space. Raised eaves also mean increased headroom, for a more comfortable working environment.
Furthermore, higher eaves allow for a taller door. This gives you better access to your workshop and makes it much easier to store and retrieve larger items.
The exceptionally high calibre of the Ultimate Range is epitomised by their fully ledged and braced doors. Secured with heavy-duty hinges, these doors benefit from additional framing to eliminate the danger of warping and sagging. Also, unlike many other workshop sheds, a key-operated rim lock is supplied as standard.
For the Ultimate strength, style and weather-resistance, most of these sheds and workshops are expertly crafted from interlocking 12mm redwood shiplap tongue and groove cladding. The exception is the Ultimate Barnstyle Range, which utilises 16mm pressure-treated featheredge boards for enhanced levels of insulation.
Don’t underestimate the importance of a high-quality roof as it is your shed’s first line of defence against the elements. Ultimate roofs are made from 12mm tongue and groove wood, fitted with superior-graded, polyester-reinforced felt, for outstanding weatherproof protection and a tidy finish.
The 12mm tongue and groove floor is elevated by pressure-treated joists for extra protection from ground moisture. Due to its thickness, an Ultimate floor improves the shed’s level of insulation and will neither buckle under the weight of heavier items nor regular footfall.
One of the many things that really sets an Ultimate Workshop Shed apart from its competitors is its super-robust 44mm x 44mm frame, which is far thicker than on most other sheds and diagonally braced to provide even greater stability.
Ultimate Sheds and Workshops don’t skimp on the quality of their windows either. Not only are they always glazed with toughened glass, they have four different latch settings too, so you can enjoy welcome ventilation on a hot summer’s day and optimise garden storage conditions the whole year round.

Dip Treatment Process Explained
Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.
After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you’re interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?
