Our How-to guides on using fence post spikes and bases

If you're thinking about installing fencing using one of our fence post spikes, please check out the video guides below. This way, you can work out if it is a task that you will be able to carry out. Please remember like our video guides on YouTube if you find them useful.

Rapidly put up fencing with post spikes

Our fencing post spikes are far easier to use than digging out a hole for the wooden post and then filling it with concrete. If you're installing many metres of fencing this is ideal. You can concrete every fourth post for added strength. When using a spike you will only need a wooden fence post as tall as your fencing panels.

Please Note: When using metal post spikes, you should always check for underground gas or water pipes before you begin to drive them into the ground.

If you need to install your garden fencing onto concrete, these wooden post shoes make the process quick and easy. They will also work well on low level brick-work or concrete walls, so long as they are at least 500 mm wide. You can also use our post shoes on wooden decking as well as balcony areas. Please see our “how-to” video, above, for further installation details.
