If you’re after a British-built potting shed to help your plants prosper and store gardening tools, choose the 8 x 6 Forest 25yr Guarantee Shiplap Pressure Treated Potting Shed (2.42m x 1.99m). Here’s what makes this planting shed such a wonderful choice…

Modular Design, Pressure-Treated Wood and the Longest Guarantee on the Market

This garden potting shed is expertly designed and built by Britain's leading manufacturer of wooden sheds. Pressure treated and supplied with an extraordinary 25-year anti-rot guarantee, which is the longest guarantee on the market, the wood will never need retreating against rot, sparing you the inconvenience of costly, time-consuming maintenance and providing you with an unbeatably durable shed.

Featuring a complete modular design, this wooden potting shed is delivered to you in smaller sections of interchangeable panels, so you'll find it much easier to assemble than other potting sheds. This modular design also allows you flexibility with door placements, helping you customise the potting shed to your exact requirements. What’s more, with 30% thicker framing, this garden potting shed isn't just easier to assemble and more versatile than other wooden potting sheds, it's far stronger too.

A Robust, Weathertight and Supremely Stylish Potting Shed

The walls are constructed from 12mm shiplap tongue and groove cladding, on a 28 x 56mm frame, making for a robust and durable garden building. The tightly-interlocking boards ensure the shed remains completely weathertight, while shiplap’s scalloped profile provides excellent rainwater runoff.

Expertly made from premium 12mm tongue and groove, the floor is perfectly equipped to accommodate your heavier items and cope with regular footfall. It is supported by pressure-treated bearers, providing a further layer of protection against rot-causing ground moisture.

Reinforced by a metal truss bracket, the roof is built from tough 8mm OSB and fitted with a green mineral-felt cover for complete weatherproof protection. It comes with a traditional apex design, barge boards and eye-catching finials. The wood’s smooth-planed finish perfectly rounds off the potting shed’s timelessly attractive appearance.

Security Door, Shatterproof Glazing and Staging

You can access this potting shed via a single door, which can be installed at either end of the structure to suit the orientation of your garden. Ledged and braced for extra strength and to prevent dropping/ movement, this door is fitted with hidden security hinges and a pad bolt to give you peace of mind that your valuable tools and invaluable plants are safe (padlock not included).

Once inside, you'll find the high roofline allows plenty of headroom, along with the chance to store taller gardening tools. The 2 opening windows offer you the chance to ventilate the potting shed and optimise growing conditions. With the addition of 10 fixed windows, they also provide an abundance of natural light – again, just what your plants require. All of these windows are made from acrylic, so are completely shatterproof and will neither discolour nor fade over time.

The 2 sets of 2-tier staging are made from premium timber. They are perfectly designed to help you pot your plants and contain ample room for pots, seed trays, soil bags and more.

Ethically Sourced and Locally Built for a Brighter Future

This 8x6 potting shed is handcrafted in Great Britain from FSC® certified British wood, so the timber is sourced from sustainable, well-managed forests and the manufacturing process’s environmental impact is kept to a minimum.

Why choose a Forest Potting Shed?

Why choose a Forest Potting Shed?

At last, a potting shed to meet every gardener's needs! This uniquely-designed Forest Shiplap Potting Shed has one eye on growing, the other on storage, so provides the perfect environment to pot plants PLUS a stylish, secure home for your tools. Its premium build and market-leading 25-year anti-rot guarantee make this potting shed the long-term answer to all of your gardening requirements.

Pressure treatment forces preservative deep inside the wood. The result is long-lasting protection against rot and fungal decay. There is no need to re-treat EVER, saving an estimated £200 in time and treatment costs compared to dip-treated sheds.

Shiplap cladding provides consistency and strength as well as providing the traditional style we all know and love. The tightly-interlocking boards ensure the shed remains completely weathertight, while shiplap’s scalloped profile provides excellent rainwater runoff.

The robust and stable 12mm tongue and groove floor is elevated by pressure-treated joists for extra protection from ground moisture. Due to its thickness, a tongue and groove floor improves the shed’s level of insulation and will neither buckle under the weight of heavier items nor regular footfall.

The roof is made from 8mm OSB and comes with a premium mineral felt covering. This ensures it is tough, durable and completely weathertight.

Ten fixed windows allow an abundance of natural light to flow into the shed, while 2 further opening windows provide you with welcome ventilation on a hot, sunny day. Our windows are glazed with acrylic glazing. These windows are completely shatterproof and will neither discolour nor fade over time.

The single door can be positioned at either side of the shed, with a left or right-hand opening. It is ledged, braced and fitted with a pad bolt, so rest assured that your valuable tools will remain safe from unwanted attention (padlock not supplied).

Supplied with two sets of two-tier plant staging.

Single door can be fitted with a left- or right-hand opening.

Pressure Treatment Process Explained

The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.

This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden.

Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.

Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.

Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.

Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.

Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.

"We're proud to be the largest and most trusted manufacturer and distributor of garden timber products in the UK" - Forest Garden

Making British Gardens Great

At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.

With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.

Well made in Britain

The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.

All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.

Home Grown

We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.

Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.
